It was incredibly hard leaving Boulder. I am really trying to forget the chaos of packing up and try to remember all of the amazing support that friends provided those last few insane days. We had a wonderful send-off by our friends on a beautiful Boulder Saturday evening. Our dog Skipper even made the front page of the paper for stopping a break-in of the house where our friends who are caring for him live!
We had a couple of whirlwind days in DC. Don was officially sworn in by Vice President Joe Biden surrounded by lots of family and friends. It was very emotional to say the least! On the day we left the boys enjoyed their last Chipotle burritos and suddenly we were on route to Johannesburg via Dakar!
